Flying Cloud Beverages
Flying Cloud Beverages is a Minnesota-based THC soda company brewed at Fat Pants Brewing Company. Family and woman owned, the brand was created in 2023 with a focus on flavor, familiarity, and nostalgia. As the industry grows, Flying Cloud continues to expand into new states, building its place in the evolving THC beverage market.
Social Media Intern (Oct. 2024- Jan. 2025)
During my internship with Flying Cloud Beverages, I helped develop the brand’s visual identity through both social and print design. I created assets that highlighted the brand’s flavor-forward personality and nostalgic tone. I also assisted in managing content calendars and affiliate programs to keep campaigns organized, build community connections, and expand the brand’s online reach. Planning and scheduling content helped us stay aligned with marketing trends, maintain a relevant social presence, and encourage greater audience engagement.
The designs I created were featured in retail locations across several states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas, Illinois, and Connecticut. Through consistent visuals, affiliate partnerships, and a strategic content plan, I contributed to strengthening Flying Clouds identity and awareness as it continues to grow and find its place in the expanding THC beverage market.
Social Media and Content Strategist (Jan. 2025 - Present)
In my current role, I continue to manage content and social strategy for both Flying Cloud Beverages and Fat Pants Brewing Company. For Flying Cloud, I focus on expanding the brand through creative content, digital assets for marketing campaigns, and ongoing market research. I also continue to design graphics, I plan and capture product photography, and provide creative direction to maintain a cohesive and recognizable visual identity across all platforms. Additionally, I manage social media within a highly regulated industry, adapting strategies to remain compliant while ensuring content stays engaging and aligned with brand goals.

Flying Cloud Strategy Deck
As a member of the marketing team, I helped create a brand strategy deck focused on understanding the infused beverage market and clarifying Flying Cloud Beverages’ direction.
We researched competing infused beverage brands to understand how they position themselves, including ingredients, flavors, visual style, messaging, and how they present taste and lifestyle across digital platforms. I contributed by reviewing competitor brands, comparing how they showed up online, and identifying where our brand felt inconsistent or unclear.
Using these findings, we outlined recommendations within the strategy deck to help the brand better align with the market and feel more recognizable to consumers. I also supported updates to the website and product presentation, which helped contribute to $100K+ in eCommerce revenue growth and supported expansion into 5 new U.S. markets. While the strategy was informed by research, it did not align with leadership preferences, which limited implementation and contributed to ongoing brand challenges.
This experience gave me a clearer understanding of how important it is for brand decisions to align with both market research and internal leadership in order to be sustainable.
